Member FAQs

If I have the SuperMed Plus product and I do not find a provider in my search, what do I do next?

Search for the same provider using the Traditional product search. If the provider is found in the Traditional network only, the provider will be considered non-network (assuming you have a SuperMed product). This means you can still go to that provider and your claim will be paid. The provider cannot bill you for an amount over the agreed priced in their contract with Network Access Services.

If the provider you are searching for is not found using either search, then the provider will be considered non-network and non-participating.

How do I order a Provider Directory?

Because the provider directory can change frequently, we do not have hard copies available. Provider searches can be done by provider name and or specialty.

Is there a phone number I can call to confirm a provider’s SuperMed network status?

Providers can also be located by simply calling our Provider Locator Services phone number toll free at 1-800 601 9208.

When should I call SuperMed PPO|Access and when should I call my Administrator?

The Customer Service team that supports the SuperMed product can answer whether the provider is in the network.

You will need to call your Administrator to verify benefits, eligibility and the claim payment status. Your Claims Administrator's phone number is on your ID card.

Who pays my claim?

SuperMed does not pay your claim. Your Administrator applies benefits to your priced claim and submits payment to the provider.
